Okay, so I did something that I wanted to do for the longest time. Yep, you guessed it. I made a blog. Finally. I mean, I’ve already had an LJ before (and I really really am sorry, my dear LJ, for failing to update you.. 😦 ), but making a wordpress makes it more blog-like.
Okay, so in case you are wondering: Why Alkorhythm?
Well, *in a Jack Sparrow voice* let me break it down for you.
Alkorhythm can be broken into three parts: Alkor, Rhythm, and Alkorhythm.
Alkor is a pen name coined for me by one of my closest friends. I shall not reveal why, but if you know me, you can probably figure it out. Not to mention, it’s a cool sounding name. 😛
Rhythm. I am in love with music, though I may not seem like it. Can’t really imagine life without it, you know? Also, little trivia about me. I almost always place lyrics of a song that I can relate to whenever I blog.
Alkorhythm-is actually a play on words on the word ‘Algorithm’. No, I am not a math wiz, nor am I a number nut. Algorithm is actually a word, meaning ‘a step-by-step problem-solving procedure especially an established, recursive, computational procedure for solving a problem in a finite number of steps.’ Well, no, I don’t really believe in computational procedures, but I believe that any problem can be solved in a finite number of steps, so hey! This is applicable. If you don’t think so, bite me.
Kinky.

Since this is my first post, I shall not ruin it with bitterness and ranting. Instead, I shall keep it all happy and fun. So expect a short post. I’m kidding, of course.

I have officially lasted 3 weeks in my OJT, and I think it goes without saying that I am really enjoying it. Great boss, the work isn’t too much to handle and at the same time, it isn’t too easy to waste my capabilities (wow, lalim.), the people I’m with are AMAZING.
Though if you ask me, which I like better, this company or my previous one, I’d answer you like this:
“I just started. I really can’t tell as of now.”
Yep, that’s a lie. And I’m already thinking of what to say to those who ask once I’ve stayed here for like 2 months already, or once I’m at the end of my stint.
“I enjoyed both companies, but I really can’t compare them because the departments I was placed in are different.”
Sounds like a good lie to me!

So, I’ve been watching Glee, mainly because of the cover songs, and up until like the 5th episode, I was kind of shaky about it. But when I watched episodes 6&7, it turned around a little bit. Not saying that I am worshipping it, but you can actually feel the story moving on, you empathize with the characters and the problems that they face. I mean, we’ve all, at some point in our lives, felt what they’ve felt too, right? Feeling lost, feeling scared, fearing the consequences of your actions will be, being oppressed, trying your best to fit in, lying and manipulating people to avoid hurting them, basically just hoping to survive. And still, somehow, the members of Glee still manage to sing about the goodness in the world, sing about life, and love, and happiness, temporary leaving this world and just being in the moment.
Naks. Rakenrol!

I will always worship Matchbox 20. Regardless of how similar most of their songs sound like, the lyrics and the message of the songs they sing are exemplary!
Here’s one of their less popular ones. Great song!
Bright Lights-Matchbox Twenty
She got out of town
On a railway New York bound
Took all except my name
Another alien on Broadway
There’s some things in this world
You just can’t change
Somethings you can’t see
Until it gets too late
[Chorus]
Baby, baby, baby
When all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I’m up against out in this world
Maybe, maybe, maybe
You’ll find something
That’s enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don’t receive you
You should turn yourself around
And come on home
I got a hole in me now
yeah,I got a scar I can talk about
She keeps a picture of me
In her apartment in the city
Some things in this world
Man, they don’t make sense
Some things you don’t need
Until they leave you
And they’re things that you miss
[Chorus]
Baby, baby, baby
When all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I’m up against out in this world
Maybe, maybe, maybe
You’ll find something
That’s enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don’t receive you
You should turn yourself around
And come on home
Let that city take you in, come on home
Let that city spit you out, come on home
Let that city take you down, yeah
God’s sake turn around
[Chorus]
Baby, baby, baby
When all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I’m up against in this world
Maybe, maybe, maybe
You’ll find something
That’s enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don’t receive you
You should turn yourself around
And come on home
Come on home
Baby, baby, baby
Come on home
Yeah, come on home
Yeah, come on home

Well, that’s about it, blog (and invisible, probably non-existent, readers.) I’ll catch you next time!
