So this whole thing started with a simple tweet from a friend:
That, together with a few other exchanges (and probably a little alcoholic influence) was when the idea of a Cremation Playlist was born. So below, you will see a list of songs that are in my own cremation playlist. Though most some songs are quite inappropriate to play in an actual cremation ceremony, the song titles are appropriate. And let’s face it, it’s just hilarious to have this. So anyways, here ya are:
- Beauty on the Fire- Natalie Imbruglia
- Hot- Avril Lavigne
- Hot Stuff- Donna Summer
- I Caught Fire- The Used
- On Fire- Switchfoot
- Fire- Glee Cast
- Fire- Jay Sean
- Fire – 2NE1
- Fire- Kitchie Nadal
- Fire- U2
- Fire Burning- Sean Kingston
- Keep the Fire Burning- Sponge Cola
- Hot in Here- Nelly
- Burn- Tina Arena
- Burn- Usher
- The Burn- Matchbox Twenty
- Start the Fire- No Doubt
- Through the Fire- Chaka Khan
- Disco Inferno- 50 Cent
- Hot Mess- Cobra Starship
- Smoke and Ashes- Tracy Chapman
- Slow Dancing in a Burning Room- John Mayer
- Dead End- Jason Mraz
- Dead and Gone- T.I. Feat. Justin Timberlake
- Cemeteries of London- Coldplay
- Losing Ground- Vertical Horizon
- Six Feet Underground- No Doubt
- Funeral Song- The Rasmus
- Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door- Guns&Roses
- Heaven- Bryan Adams
The playlist has 30 songs, and lasts about 2 hours, long enough to fill an actual cremation ceremony (plus, minus the waiting time). Got songs you think shouldn’t be here? Or think I missed out on something that should? Lemme know by dropping a comment.
“I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred.
That’s your go-to song for Everything! 😛 But you may be right. Nothing says HOT like being cremated. 😉
